It is the dawn of the
EQnomy; a fast-growing society based on the recognition
that all human action is rooted in emotion. In that
society people consciously deal with each other's
emotions. They perceive and understand them and
integrate them into all their thinking. Their actions
are aimed at durable happiness for everybody.
They live and experience
life consciously and show who they are. They treat
everybody the way they want to be treated; honestly,
respectful and loving. Together with likewise tuned
people in private and in work they turn the present
society into a sound one that truly serves human beings
and their happiness.
Understanding of, and
acting upon, the following principles will enrich your
life, help you be more authentic and human, and
inadvertently will make you part of 'the EQnomy'.
1.
Experience life. Now.
There is only NOW! It
is not enough to understand this at a rational
level; feel it! Experience it! Now is the only
'everlasting' there is...
2.
The truly important things are: being-human, development
and fun! Define your own passion, success and needs.
You already define your
own passion, energy, success and needs. So why not
just define these more consciously and more
deliberate! Define, and then follow, your own unique
bliss!
3.
The EQnomy is a sizzling party of real, authentic human
beings.
So don't just watch the
party; join in! Dare to be real, authentic. Let go
of your inhibitions and be fully responsible for
your choices and doings. You are unique and will
contribute to durable happiness for everybody just
by joining the party.
4.
Seek no 'balance between work and personal life'; be
your authentic self in work and in private.
Being human and aware
is no part-time job. The only common factor in
everything you experience is YOU! So consciously
choose to be you all the time (what else is there to
choose?).
5.
Your talents, time, attention, ideas, knowledge and
networks are yours and your responsibility.
Claim that ownership.
Nobody can take something away from you without your
permission so stop conceding! Take ownership and
responsibility. For only then you can ever TRULY
give...
6.
An organization always consists of PEOPLE who are
committed to each other and to other people.
An organization is not
a Counsel, Company, Care- or Educational
Institution. Both internally and externally people
are what an organization truly is all about.
Remember that. Always, or rather: now!
7.
Stop seeking to be 'robbed'; you want to be 'touched'.
Become fully aware of
the (underlying) emotions in your dealings. Allow
the emotion to be recognized and define your true
need (see #2). Then you will not be an easy target
for 'robbers' that prey on your repressed feelings.
And be thankful to all past 'robbers' for this
lesson...
8.
Before you go along with an organization, first
understand it and feel it; the mission, the culture; the
people.
Either only for a
'deal' or if it's about working there: make sure you
understand their goal (dream-with-a-date). Will your
going along contribute to durable happiness for
everybody? Is there a lasting win/win?
9.
Remain loyal to the passion and inspiration with which
all once began. Not to the rules that 'crept in' along
the way.
This goes for
everything! Relationships, ventures, jobs;
everything. Observe that where things go off track
or even wrong, the clear site on the original
passion and inspiration has become obstructed.
Mostly by things that are unimportant to the
original truly important things (see #2).
10.
It is not about WHAT you do. Make sure it is about WHY
you do what you do.
Doing something 'for no
reason' is impossible. If emotions stir within you
(boredom, dislike, resentment) about something you
are doing, then go back to being aware of the WHY
and then either stop doing it or experience that the
emotion (boredom, dislike, resentment) vanished...
Always know your 'why'.
